A legendary route, the old Route N9 takes you on a journey through time and space, thanks to a map unlike any you’ve ever seen!
Presentation
On the old N9 highway, which has seen generations of vacationers travel across France, drive along in search of traces of the construction work, from the 19th century to the completion of the famous tunnel. But how did people in the modern era—or even in the Middle Ages—manage when the fearsome Lord of Héras preyed upon travelers?
Can we imagine heavily laden Roman carts climbing this hill? Or the prehistoric populations, with their first herds?
What do travelers’ accounts and maps tell us? But above all… THE map?
