Location: Lodève Museum
Located in a beautiful private hotel from the 17th and 18th centuries, the Lodève Museum was completely renovated in 2018. Its architecture, combining the ancient and the contemporary, and its museography worthy of the greatest museums have won several awards.
The Lodève Museum is a museum that is human-sized, warm, and playful, offering both art and science through its three pathways and temporary exhibitions.

Permanent pathways
"Traces of life"
700 m² immersed in the History of the Earth for 540 million years. After crossing the dizzying "room of time", follow the traces of extinct animals: from the first forms of life on Earth to giant sharks and dinosaurs.
"Human footprints"
At the end of Prehistory, humans slowly become farmers and livestock breeders. The Lodève Museum tells you about this fascinating period with inventiveness, humor, and poetry.
"Memories of stone"
Step into the brilliant universe of Paul Dardé (1888-1963), a sculptor with a "fierce and ruthless" independence. Follow him into his workshop and observe the genesis of his characters, both historical and mythical.

The museum offers two major art exhibitions per year. They are dedicated to art or science.

Workshops and visits for families
During school vacations, the museum offers creative workshops, scientific workshops, games, and family visits for all ages.

Open every day except Monday
10:30 AM-1 PM | 2 PM-6 PM
Closed on January 1, May 1, November 1, and December 25.
The entrance ticket is valid all day, even if you go out for lunch.
