Summary

Saint-Privat, an atypical village clinging to the mountain, boasts an architectural identity composed of local sandstone constructions, worn by time. This ideal raw material for manufacturing metal tools and polishing marble has allowed for the economic development of the municipality, much like vineyards and olive cultivation. The municipality incorporates three villages: Saint-Privat, the Salces, where abundant water sources allow for irrigation of the plots; and la Rouquette, picturesque with its narrow streets and its architecture of schist and orange sandstone, giving the place a secretive, almost confidential aspect.
