Every first Sunday of the month, experience a day dedicated to discovering the remarkable heritage of Lodévois and Larzac: Follow a visit to the Lodève Museum then a visit of the territory whose theme or format changes every month! 

Throughout the year, discover architectural and heritage treasures through animations, walks, conferences, workshops, visits…

Program

10:30 AM – Guided tour "From grazing to ball"

With Frédérique, a breeder, the team from the Grands Causses Natural Park, the Colbert spinning mill on a proposal from the CPIE and as part of the International Year of Pastoralism.

Here you are in the company of Frédérique and her flock of sheep. A passionate and committed breeder, she proposes to discover the local wool industry, from flock management to highlighting this sustainable material. To weave our narrative, we will tell you the story of agropastoralism, the steps of wool transformation, and present today’s uses of wool. An afternoon to knit together!

12:30 PM – Lunch break
It’s up to you to choose: picnic in the park, meal at the restaurant, or a snack on the go. Lodève is full of tasty options to satisfy your cravings.

2:30 PM – Audioguided visit of Lodève
Explore Lodève freely and the treasures of its historic center: the Saint-Fulcran Cathedral, the War Memorial sculpted by Paul Dardé, the shopping streets, and the remarkable heritage of the City of Art and History.

3:30 PM – Free visit of the Lodève Museum
Embark on a journey of 540 million years at the Lodève Museum: explore its three permanent exhibits (Traces of Life, Imprints of Man, and Memories of Stone), as well as its current temporary exhibitions.

End of the afternoon – Free time
Enjoy the last hours to wander, do some shopping, or simply savor the atmosphere of the city.
