The Great Sites in a camping car

Camping car enthusiasts, welcome to our Great Sites of France!

These exceptional places are recognized for the beauty of their landscapes and the richness of their biodiversity. But they are also fragile: a few simple rules help preserve them.

  • Lake of Salagou: daytime parking possible in the parking lots on the shores of Lake of Salagou. Night parking prohibited. Meet in the campgrounds on site.  
  • Cirque de Navacelles : day parking allowed in identified spaces in the parking lot of the Baume Auriol viewpoint. Night parking prohibited (10 PM - 8 AM) & wild camping prohibited. Descent into the heart of the Cirque is prohibited for camping cars as the road is narrow and maneuvers complicated. In summer, enjoy the free shuttles.

Itineraries to favor in a camping car

- Cirque de Navacelles Navacelles : exit 49 Le Caylar (Motorhome parking, services and welcome camping on site) then follow St Pierre de la Fage, Saint Maurice Navacelles & finally belvedere Baume Auriol. The descent into the Cirque du Cirque de Navacelles is strongly discouraged (hairpin bends, narrow and winding roads).

Another itinerary, possible but less comfortable for route exit 52; follow Soubès, St Etienne de Gourgas, St Pierre de la Fage, Saint Maurice Navacelles then belvedere of the Baume Auriol.

- Le Caylar : exit 49 Le Caylar, stopover village with parking area, services and camping welcome

- Salagou : exit 55 lake of Salagou  (most direct exit) follow Lake of Salagou

- Lodève : exit 53 or 52. Parking in the parking lot of the Lodève park (opposite the gendarmerie) and welcome in camping
