Can I buy my bus or train tickets at the Tourist Office?

Bus tickets can be purchased directly from the driver on the bus or via the Lio Occitanie application.
A Mobile SNCF Shop is usually present in front of the Lodève Tourist Office on Fridays, offering ticket sales and management services.
For matters regarding your train tickets, it is advisable to contact SNCF directly through their official site sncf-connect.com or by calling 3635.

Where can I spend the night in a camper van?

In season, are there buses or shuttles to access the Great Sites?

Yes, there are bus connections from Montpellier and Lodève to access the Salagou Lake and the Navacelles Circus. Upon your arrival in Navacelles, you can also take the free shuttles to the Navacelles hamlet.

Can I put my bike in the bus hold?

Bicycles are accepted on buses equipped with hold space, limited to 2 bicycles per hold depending on available space. Folding bicycles protected by a cover are considered as luggage to be placed in the hold.

Can I rent a bike in Lodévois and Larzac?

There are several bike rental services at the destination that can also deliver to your arrival and accommodation location.

Are animals allowed in buses or shuttles?

Guide dogs for the visually impaired and assistance dogs for disabled persons are allowed on board free of charge, and these dogs are exempt from wearing a muzzle (art.53 and 54 law n°2005-102 of February 11, 2005).
Only dogs weighing less than 5 kg are allowed on board vehicles provided they are transported in a closed basket and kept on their owner's lap.

Can one swim in Salagou Lake or at the Navacelles Circus?

Salagou Lake: supervised swimming on the beach of Vailhés in the town of Celles. From July 12 to August 24, 2025, from 11am to 7pm.

In the hamlet of Navacelles, swimming is not supervised. However, you can refresh yourself at the small beach near the waterfall.
Warning: slippery site and very cold water. Be careful!

Where can I park my vehicle?

In Lodève: free parking in the city center, near the cathedral
At Salagou: free parking near the Vailhés beach
At the Navacelles Circus: free parking at the viewpoint of Baume Auriol (Hérault side) and at the viewpoint of Blandas (Gard side).
In the hamlet of Navacelles: paid parking from April to September (Daily rate: 4€).

What is the temperature of the water?

At Salagou Lake:
In summer, the water temperature of Salagou Lake is particularly pleasant for swimming. It generally varies between 24 °C and 28 °C, depending on weather conditions and areas of the lake.

At Navacelles Circus:
In summer, the water temperature of the Vis River at Navacelles Circus remains cool, usually not exceeding 15 °C, even on the hottest days. This coolness is due to the underground feeding of the river and its shaded path.

What are the visiting hours for the Lodève cathedral?

The Lodève cathedral is open for free visits all year round.
In summer from 8am to 8pm and the rest of the year from 8am to 6pm.
There are also guided tours throughout the year as part of the Pays d’Art et d’Histoire program, including visits to the bell tower which offers a panoramic view at 360°.
