ESSENCES ET SENS - LE CHEMIN DE L'ÉRABLE

The KERMIT association invites you to discover two immersive loops in the heart of a natural environment, where the trees are the true guides to your walk: A sensitive discovery of the trees of La-Vacquerie-et-Saint-Martin-de-Castries.

If you choose the "Chemin de l'Érable", follow the signs decorated with a Montpellier maple leaf. This path leads you to two information panels: the first indicates the start of the loop and the second helps you understand the exceptional panorama enjoyed by this remarkable old maple tree.

The start of the Maple Trail is signposted at the "Jardin d'Albert" on your right: climb the small traverse and then a wide track, following the maple leaf to the remarkable tree and its signpost.

Continuing the loop over the ridges (signposted with cairns), take time to admire the spectacular panoramic views before starting the descent to the village, along a narrow path on your right that descends through the woods and past the mill.

At the end of this beautiful route, you come to the start of the "Chemin des Chênes": it's up to you whether to return to the village via the traverse, or to take the second 2.5km loop...
