Let yourself be carried away by a landscape reading to discover one of France?s most famous canyons: natural or man-made?

The gorges of the Vis, the sinuous, steep-sided river barely visible from the edge of the Larzac cliffs, measure over 300 m deep and 1400 m wide at the cirque de Navacelles. To this fabulous natural sculpture, we must add the work of man, wherever our eyes may rest: the letter carrier's path, faïsses, mills and even a diversion canal that provided electricity for Montpellier's first tramway!
