Presentation

The Fouque Barracks preserve the memory of a remarkable human and architectural history. The cornerstone of this military district was laid in 1875, according to plans drawn up by Captain Marinier, aligned with the axis of the former episcopal palace and the municipal park. Among the regiments that were successively stationed here, the 142nd Infantry Regiment remains the city’s most iconic.

David Arlès and Thierry Van Cauwenberghe, former gendarmes, will guide you on this exceptional tour of the site.
