Every first Sunday of the month, experience a day dedicated to discovering the remarkable heritage of the Lodévois and Larzac: Follow a visit to the Lodève Museum then a visit to the area which has a different theme or format each month! 

Throughout the year, discover the architectural and cultural treasures through activities, walks, conferences, workshops, visits…

Program

10:30 AM – Guided tour "A sculptor in his land, Dardé in Saint Maurice Navacelles"

With Sophie Clarinval, conference guide. 

"My school was the countryside," said Paul Dardé. The sculptor "stone cutter" with a tumultuous life made a mark on people as he left his imprint on the landscape of the Larzac plateaus. We invite you to wander in Saint-Maurice-Navacelles where the artist imagines and builds with his own hands a workshop-house. An original way to discover the village!

12:30 PM – Lunch break
It's up to you to choose: picnic in the park, meal at the restaurant or a quick snack. Lodève is full of tasty options to satisfy your cravings.

2:30 PM – Audio-guided tour of Lodève
Explore Lodève freely and the treasures of its historical center: Saint-Fulcran Cathedral, the war memorial sculpted by Paul Dardé, the bustling shopping streets, and the remarkable heritage of the city of Art and History.

3:30 PM – Free visit to the Lodève Museum
Embark on a journey of 540 million years at the Lodève Museum: explore its three permanent routes (Traces of Life, Imprints of Man and Memories of Stone), as well as its current temporary exhibitions.

End of the afternoon – Free time
Enjoy the last hours to stroll, do some shopping or simply savor the atmosphere of the city.
