Every first Sunday of the month, experience a day dedicated to discovering the remarkable heritage of Lodévois and Larzac: Follow a visit to the Lodève Museum and then a visit to the territory whose theme or format changes every month! 

Throughout the year, discover the architectural and heritage riches through animations, walks, conferences, workshops, visits…

Program

9:30 AM – Audio-guided tour of Lodève
Explore freely Lodève and the treasures of its historic center: the Saint-Fulcran cathedral, the war memorial sculpted by Paul Dardé, the bustling streets, and the remarkable heritage of the city of Art and History.

10:30 AM – Free visit of the Lodève Museum
Embark on a journey of 540 million years at the Lodève Museum: explore its three permanent pathways (Traces of Life, Imprints of Man and Memories of Stone), as well as its temporary exhibitions of the moment.

12:30 PM – Lunch break
It's up to you to choose: picnic in the park, meal at a restaurant or a quick snack. Lodève is full of delicious options to satisfy your cravings.

2:30 PM – Guided tour "On the other side: the train station neighborhood, a journey through a vanished area"

« On the other side » evokes the southern shore of the Mediterranean, the other bank of the river that separated the train station neighborhood from the city, the other aesthetic of weaving inherited by the women who arrived from Algeria after the war. Where was the old train station neighborhood located? What route did the workers take to get to the workshop? Where did the children play? How to remember when traces are missing?

The visit invites you to explore the train station neighborhood, its history, its memories and what the site's metamorphosis tells us today.
