THE 3 GREAT SITES OF FRANCE OF THE DESTINATION LANGUEDOC HEART OF HÉRAULT

Cirque de Navacelles:
The Great Site of France of the Cirque de Navacelles, located in the heart of the Causses and Cévennes, classified as a UNESCO World Heritage site, reveals breathtaking landscapes. Shaped by centuries of agro-pastoralism, these areas preserve a unique balance between traditions and nature. While walking its paths, you will be amazed by exceptional panoramas and discover one of the largest canyons in Europe, dominated by an impressive 300-meter deep gorge, a true geological wonder that attests to the power of water and time.

Salagou - Cirque de Mourèze
Located 40 km northwest of Montpellier, the Salagou valley is one of the most beautiful landscapes in France. Its very diverse geology has generated unique landscapes linked to the "ruffe" and its bright red appearance, the black basalt of ancient volcanoes and the white dolomite of the Cirque de Mourèze. All these colors give the Great Site a unique diversity. In 2024, the Grand Site Salagou-Cirque de Mourèze, expanded to include the municipality of Villeneuvette and the Pic de Vissou in Cabrières, was awarded the label Great Site of France, a distinction recognizing the remarkable management of this exceptional site.

Gorges of Hérault
The Great Site of France - Gorges of Hérault unveils spectacular landscapes sculpted by clear waters, between limestone rocks and Mediterranean scrubland. At the heart of this exceptional territory stand two medieval edifices registered as UNESCO World Heritage sites under the Paths of Saint-Jacques-de-Compostelle on the way from Arles. The Abbey of Gellone, an architectural gem located in one of the Most Beautiful Villages of France, Saint-Guilhem-Le-Désert, and the Devil's Bridge in Aniane, a historic and natural site classified as a historic monument.
