SITE ESCALADE DE BLOC DU PRIEURÉ

The "Priory" is the second largest sandstone site in the south, climbable all year round, with optimal conditions from October to April. It is located at the crossroads of the three main climbing areas of the region, which are the Caroux massif to the west, the hinterland of Montpellier to the east, and to the north (around Millau) the Tarn, Jonte and Dourbie gorges.

Presentation

“Le Prieuré” is the second largest sandstone climbing site in the south of France. It can be climbed all year round, with optimal conditions from October to April. It is located at the crossroads of three of the region's major climbing areas: the Massif du Caroux in the west, the Montpellier countryside in the east and the Tarn, Jonte and Dourbie Gorges in the north (around Millau).
Located close to the Saint Michel de Grandmont Priory – a jewel of Norman architecture and classed as a “historical monument” – this natural climbing site is open to all climbers with buddies.
Climbers do not have to rope themselves together for boulder climbing. To climb these 2 to 6-metre high natural boulders, you just need to come with a climbing buddy to act as your safety net and make sure your crash p
