PAS DE L'ESCALETTE

This place offers a first class view of the Lergue valley. Since antiquity, it has been a place of passage and exchange between the Hérault and the Aveyron. It has been transformed over the centuries to adapt to the means of transport. Today the road rises up to the Larzac limestone plateaux.

Presentation

This area offers first-class views of the Lergue valley. For centuries this has been a crossroads on the route between Hérault and Aveyron. Over the years, it has evolved to meet the requirements of changing modes of transport and today the route climbs the mountain as a cornice road towards the Causses du Larzac (Larzac plateaux).
