After running underground in the chalky limestone of the Causses de Blandas and southern Larzac region, where its passage is only indicated by a dry valley, the Vis river springs up impetuously in the hamlet of La Foux. The village of Navacelles is 7 kilometres downstream. In the corridor formed by these spectacular gorges, a quite ordinary society existed for centuries with its roads, crops, herds and little industries. A timeless, exceptional place!
