Sorbs and the dry valleys

Sorbs

Leaving La Ville-Vieille, one of the scattered hamlets comprising Sorbs, the road leads on among large hollow limestone depressions to descend along the Devèze to the end of the Virenque gorges. Following the dry bed of this curious river, where shingle deposits alternate with large flat rocks and chaotic blocks, you reach the peaceful Alton goat farm at the confluence with the stream from Sorbs.
