RANDONNÉE DES BOIS DE HOMS ET DE LATUDE

RANDONNÉE DES BOIS DE HOMS ET DE LATUDE

After wandering through the narrow streets of Saint-Jean-de-la-Blaquière, passing close to the 14th century château, which attests to the medieval character of this village, the path crosses the Marguerite and sets off across land where varied crops, vines and olives reign supreme. The many paths bordered with old, low walls reveal the importance of agricultural activity in the past. Garrigue studded, in this red permian, also called autunian, earth, with vineyards and olive groves provides an astonishing mosaic of colours visible throughout the whole length of the route. The route, in reforested areas composed of fir trees (Aleppo pines, cedars), provides remarkable views over Saint-Jean-de-la-Blaquière plain throughout the whole length of the route.
