From Lodève, "capital" of the Hérault highlands, former influential episcopal city and important textile center, you will discover the magnificent caussenard landscapes of Larzac. You will first go up the Col du Perthus, a beautiful and long ascent, then after having crossed a part of the plateau, you will go down by the splendid Cirque de Labeil. The roads are mostly quiet and the itinerary benefits from significant shaded portions, especially the ascent to the Col du Perthus, if you make the ascent in the morning.
