JEMA - PRINTEMPS DES MANUFACTURES : INITIATION AU TISSAGE

Discovery workshops led by the Manufacture?s licières. After discovering the workshop and observing rugs being made, it's time to experiment! Using weaving looms, learn about weaving gestures and the knotted stitch technique, how wool passes between warp threads, and create your own reproductions of carpet motifs.

Discovery workshops led by the Manufacture?s licières.
After discovering the workshop and observing rugs being made, it's time to experiment! With the help of looms, learn about weaving gestures and the knotted-stitch technique, the passage of wool between warp threads, and create your own reproductions of carpet motifs.

These introductory workshops are part of the program for the first edition of "Printemps des Manufactures", a national event dedicated to arts and crafts and organized by Manufactures nationales - Sèvres & Mobilier national, as part of the Journées Européennes des Métiers d?Art (JEMA) 2026, which highlights the richness of arts and crafts expertise by bringing together art technicians and the public.

Full program for "Printemps des Manufactures" in Lodève :
- Friday April 10 - Round-table evening: La savonnerie aujourd'hui (on reservation).
- Saturday, April 11 - Open house and introductory soapmaking workshops (on reservation).
