FESTIVAL DU ROC CASTEL

Every year, the Roc Castel Festival welcomes travelers to the commune of Le Caylar (on the Larzac plateau, on the border between the Hérault and Aveyron departments) for 4 days in the heart of summer. Travelers who have chosen to travel slowly, on foot, by bike, on horseback or by boat, to discover the world and meet its inhabitants, come to tell the story of their journeys.

While "In Praise of Slow Travel" has been the central theme of the festival since 2010, it has also been a week-long celebration since 2002, featuring daily shows, concerts, workshops and games in the village square. The square is also the place where festival-goers meet and mingle around the "café des voyageurs".

Every evening, the whole festival gathers here for a show or entertainment, forming the "common thread" of the week, sometimes followed by a shared meal and, finally, for the show that closes the day.
