Expressionism is a "total movement" that spans all artistic fields: music, poetry, architecture, theater and cinema.
The artists of this movement see art not just as an aesthetic endeavor, but as an instrument of moral and social protest.
Itzhak Goldberg is an art historian. He was art critic for Beaux-Arts Magazine and then Journal des Arts for over 30 years.
