RANDONNÉE TOUR AU CŒUR DU CAUSSE - GR® DE PAYS TOUR DU LARZAC MÉRIDIONAL

ATTENTION:
- route being checked. The markings and signs are operational, but the GPX trace may be erroneous: rely on the markings in the field
- following a collapse on the GR7, the route is impassable between St-Maurice-Navacelles and the hamlet of Navacelles. The connection is still possible via the plateau, following the signs for the PR Navacelles - Causses et Gorges de la Vis via the Baume Auriol belvedere and the sentier du Facteur

This hike is one of 3 loops on the GR® de Pays Tour du Larzac Méridional, which crosses the Larzac plateau between Hérault and Aveyron.

It starts in Saint-Maurice-Navacelles, a charming village at 580 m altitude. The route takes hikers through some remarkable natural sites, including the Cirque de Navacelles, classified as a Grand Site de France, where the river Vis has carved out a spectacular meander.
The trail winds along the Vis gorges, offering breathtaking panoramas of cliffs and geological formations.
The picturesque villages of Vissec and Sorbs line the itinerary, providing ideal stopping-off points for discovery.

A UNESCO World Heritage site, Larzac is rich in historical and natural heritage.
