Leaving the old town, one of the scattered hamlets that make up Sorbs, the path leads through large depressions carved into the limestone, to descend along the Devèze River to the bottom of the Virenque Gorge. Following the dry bed of this curious river, where the deposit of pebbles alternates with large flat rocks and chaotic boulders, one reaches the peaceful farm of the goatherds of the Camp d'Alton, at the confluence with the stream of Sorbs.
The Virée des Sotchs is a family variant of 4 km and 1h30 of walking.
