AROUND JAZZ FAMILY
Two concerts on 10/06/2023. The first one at 6pm:
"OBA'JAZZ" is a vocal jazz group created and directed by Régis Leroy, born of the desire to share the pleasure of singing, swing and jazz.
This polyphonic vocal ensemble takes you on a voyage of discovery around voices.
Influences are nourished by the great standards of jazz, bossa nova and other internationally-renowned pieces.
All are rearranged to offer subtle vocal harmonies.
OBA' JAZZ is a veritable voyage of voices.
The second concert, at 9pm, "AROUND JAZZ FAMILY" is a group formed for the occasion with Daniel Grosbard the father, Myriel the daughter, Naïma the granddaughter,
Thomas her husband, Patrick her father-in-law... and Abdu Salim the singer's husband as guest-star...
The repertoire encompasses 3 generations and 4 jazz periods: the fifties for Daniel and Patrick, the 60s/70s for Abdu, the 80s/90s for Myriel and the 2000s for Naïma and Thomas.
We stroll from swing to bebop, passing through cool and today's jazz, with a few vocal arrangements between mother and daughter,
and sax exchanges between Daniel and Abdu... among others ...
